Check that consent reaches your partners

Consent lost between the banner and your ad networks may not earn what it should. Skanopy shows what the banner records, which partners obtain it, and which go without.

Who received consent

The user accepts. Here are the partners the consent reaches, and those it does not.

From the user’s choice to your partners.

A consent banner only does part of the job: it collects the user’s choice. That choice still has to reach the partners that depend on it: ad networks, attribution services, ad measurement. When it gets lost on the way, the partner cannot use it: the consent obtained may not earn what it should, and a refusal may go without effect.

Skanopy runs the app on a real phone, accepts or refuses in the banner, then follows that choice all the way to your partners: the choice as the banner expresses it, whether through the IAB framework or Google Consent Mode, the actors that obtain it, and those it does not reach.

Google says so itself: without valid consent in the ad request, it falls back to limited ads, without personalization, a fallback that may impact revenue. And to keep measuring, personalizing and remarketing to users in the European Economic Area, it asks for consent to be passed on to it. Before switching on an ad network, launching a campaign or publishing a release, you know where consent stops.

What Skanopy reveals.

Every point is a finding from the report: captured on a real phone, dated and verifiable.

The user’s choice

What the banner expresses after each choice, in the market’s formats.

Who obtains it

The partners that actually obtained that choice.

Who goes without

The contacted partners the choice does not reach, and that therefore cannot use it.

Before the choice, despite a refusal

What leaves before the user has chosen, and what carries on after a refusal.

How Skanopy works.

  1. Point us to the app

    Two ways in:

    • A Google Play Store link
    • A .apk file, for a pre-release before it ships

    Whatever your consent banner.

  2. Skanopy analyzes it

On real phones, a real journey replayed automatically:

    • Tracking refused
    • Signed in
    • Article opened
    • Form submitted

Every third-party actor that fires is mapped.

  3. You receive the evidence

    Every fact, named:

    • Active third-party actors
    • Identifiers shared
    • Permissions requested
    • Storage access
    • Consent-banner compliance
    • Consent received by your partners

Your questions, our answers.

  • Google says so itself: without valid consent in the ad request, it falls back to limited ads, without personalization, a fallback that may impact revenue. Skanopy shows you which partners received it.

  • Yes. Skanopy records the choice expressed in these two formats and shows which partners obtained it. It documents these facts; the compliance assessment stays yours.

  • No. A Google Play link is enough; Skanopy observes the app as your users install it, whatever its banner.

  • Before switching on an ad network or a measurement tool, before a campaign, before publishing a release: each analysis is a dated snapshot of one version.

The first finding costs nothing.
