A simple conviction

Skanopy was born from a simple conviction: on mobile, compliance and transparency are not a constraint but the foundation of a lasting relationship between a publisher and its users. We give publishers the means to see what their apps really do, and to take control of it.

Mobile stayed a blind spot

On the web, you know how to audit what happens. On mobile, everything is more opaque: compiled code, encrypted traffic, third-party SDKs whose real behavior is unknown. A publisher can act in good faith and never realize that an advertising component collects an identifier before any consent.

Regulators have made mobile a priority. In France, the CNIL’s recommendation on mobile apps, followed by its inspection campaign, is a reminder that the mobile environment exposes more sensitive data than the web (real-time location, photos, health) and that refusing consent must be as simple as giving it.

Transparency is a lever, not a constraint

Giving users a clear, honest choice over their data is the best way to earn their trust. And that trust is a growth engine: a privacy-respecting app is one people keep, recommend and stay with.

We believe compliance, done well, protects the publisher and serves the business: it reduces exposure to regulatory risk while strengthening the bond with the user. The two do not compete, they reinforce each other.

What we make possible

Compliance under control

See exactly what your app emits (third-party actors, personal data, how consent is handled) to align it with the GDPR, ePrivacy and the CNIL recommendation.

A relationship of trust

Put your practices on the record so you can keep a clear promise of transparency to your users, and turn it into a brand asset.

Growth with peace of mind

Grow your business while minimizing compliance risk, without slowing your teams or your monetization.

At Didomi, I built the technology that monitors web compliance at scale. Mobile deserves the same rigor.

At Didomi, Europe’s consent-management leader, I designed and scaled compliance monitoring: technology that scans millions of web pages for trackers, cookies and consent failures. Along the way I brought hundreds of companies into compliance, from major media to e-commerce platforms.

Yet mobile is harder to analyze, even as the data at stake is often far more sensitive: real-time location, sensors, a device that follows us everywhere and never leaves our side. And a publisher has almost no control over what the third-party actors embedded in its app actually do.

Mobile raises the same questions as the web, only more closed. Skanopy brings that expertise to where almost no one is looking yet.
